Australian
Terriers are an easy to care for breed of dog. They are happy, social
pets. They are hardy, sturdy, intelligent, affectionate and make ideal house pets
as well as farm dogs. Their low maintenance hair coat, which has
little to no shedding if brushed weekly,
no clipping, shaving or special care needs. (It may be stripped to
make the dogs appearance neater, but does not need to be done for any reason
other than showing or for a neater/trimmer appearance).
The Australian Terriers history
can be traced back to 1880. The Australian Terrier is an all around
indoor/outdoor house pet. The average Australian Terrier weighs about 12
- 14 lbs.
and is 10 - 11 inches tall at the shoulder. The coat color is
blue-black, silver-black, with rich tan on its head and legs, sandy, or red. The
Australian Terriers rugged appearance is well suited to the harsh terrain
of its native homeland, Australia. The Australian Terrier was bred to
eradicate snakes. Australian
Terriers not only make great loyal, friendly pets, they are also very intelligent and extremely devoted to their owners.
Australian Terriers are a breed
of dog that are fun loving and loyal. It doesn't take much to keep
your puppy happy, a lot of love and attention, good food, clean water, a
safe environment for exercise and good health care.

chuckling by their antics.
