The Australian Terriers history can be traced back to 1880. The Australian Terrier is an all around indoor/outdoor house pet. The average Australian Terrier weighs about 12 - 14 lbs. and is 10 - 11 inches tall at the shoulder. The coat color is blue-black, silver-black, with rich tan on its head and legs, or red. The Australian Terriers rugged appearance is well suited to the harsh terrain of its native homeland, Australia. Australian Terriers not only make great loyal, friendly pets, they are also very intelligent and extremely devoted to their owners. Australian Terriers are a breed of dog that are fun loving and loyal. It doesn't take much to keep your puppy happy, a lot of love and attention, good food, clean water, a safe environment for exercise and good health care.
